Truck hydraulic system repair
Pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs and hoses on dump trucks, crane trucks, bucket trucks, snow plows and other hydraulic equipment.
Hydraulic trouble rarely fixes itself and rarely stays small. A weeping cylinder rod scores the new seals as fast as you put them in, and a pump running short of oil takes the valve bank with it. We repair the component that failed and look for the reason it failed, so the same seal is not back in a month.
Cylinders
- Repacking (resealing) single, dual and triple stage cylinders
- Rod rechroming, and industrial hard chroming on request
- Cylinder pin rebushing
- Dump cylinders, outrigger and boom cylinders, lift gate and plow cylinders
Pumps and motors
- Single stage, dual stage, gear, piston and pressure compensated pumps
- Rexroth pumps and valves
- Hydraulic motors and hydraulic winch motors
Valves
- Valve banks and sectional valves
- Load sensing, holding, counterbalance, overload and dump valves
- Electro-hydraulic valves, including Danfoss, Parker, HAWE and Hydac
PTOs
Power take-offs drive most of the hydraulics on a work truck, so we rebuild and install them too: air shift, cable and automatic (hot shift) PTOs, including Chelsea and Muncie units. Replacement PTOs are listed at pgttruckparts.com.
Hoses, fittings and sensors
We make hydraulic hoses and supply JIC and metric fittings, and we repair the sensors and controls that sit on the hydraulic side: transducers, tilt (mercury) switches, thermostats and soft start relays.
Cranes and booms
Knuckle boom and stiff boom cranes, bucket trucks and aerial devices come through regularly, including radio remote control installation and repair. For crane-specific repair, inspections and crane parts, see our crane team at drywallcranes.com.
